What’s up gang?! Today’s video goes over how to setup 4K HDR on an LG 4K TV. I’m sure you must be asking yourself, what do we need to setup? Well, let me tell you, it’s more than just plugging in the devices! LOL! I wonder how many people want to return their new 4K TVs because they don’t know how to get it to work properly. Whats up YouTube? How are you doing today? Channa D here, and in today’s video, I got a quick tip to get your green check-marks on your brand new, shiny LG OLED with your Xbox One X. Happy Black Friday everybody. I hope everybody had a great time shopping and finally figured out what are they going to buy now. If you buy a LG OLED and an Xbox One X or an Xbox One S or for that matter, a PS4 or a 4K Blu-Ray Player, you’re going to need to follow these steps. It’s the same steps that you got to do to get a 4K HDR properly working on your LG OLED TV as a matter of fact on any other LG TV, its all the same steps. So I’m glad you’re tuned into this video. So lets go ahead and fix this real quick.
So first thing you want to do is, grab your TV remote and press your settings button, its usually the little gear icon deal, on the right hand side you get a menu, picture mode, aspect ratio, sign out, sleep timer and all settings. Go down to All Settings, click that. Now on the left hand side, we need to go down to general.
Overshot it, a little eager-beaver over here. Now press the right button to get over to the right hand side and you want to go to pretty much all the way bottom. We are looking for HDMI ULTRA HD deep color, alright so lets click that. Now we get each of the inputs, OK. Each HDMI input, I have four of them, most LG OLEDs do. So we are going to click on that and we are going to click on and the TV here’s going to say, Hey We need to restart, so it’s going to restart.
Alright, so now we are back and when you click on 4K TV details, you got all your green check-marks that you need. Don’t worry about that one talking about 4K 50 Hz. If you’re in the US, we do not get a 50Hz broadcast that’s broadcast TV, we get 60Hz broadcast TV which is right under that and its green check-mark. So you do not have to worry about that.
Now one thing I would suggest, if you guys are planning on getting another 4K device whether its 4K ULTRA HIGH definition Blu-Ray or you get a PS4 Pro or any kind of like Apple TV 4K, anything that’s got a 4K and HDR output, you’re going to want to go ahead turn on HDMI ULTRA HD deep color for all four inputs, turn them on, it’s not going to hurt if they are on and you’re not putting in a 4K HDR stream, content or whatever. I do not know why this doesn’t come from the factory default, it is on but this is what you have to get it to work.

Now if you notice in the video, there isn’t really that much you need to do. It’s pretty straight forward and simple. Another thing you may have noticed is that the steps are EXACTLY the same for a PS4 Pro! If we take it another step further, these steps also work for a 4K UHD Blu-Ray Player! It’s just that easy.
